Fine Arts and Digital Literacy Initiative

RFL is partnering with the Texas Cultural Trust (TCT) in the development of a series of innovative courses that bridge the fine arts (visual art, music, theatre, and dance) with media literacy and technology applications. The first course in the series, Art and Media Communications, which was approved as a credit-bearing state elective course, combines study of modern, post-modern, and contemporary visual art and design with an introduction to 21st century workskills. A second-year Art and Media Communications II course as well as a Music and Media Communications course are currently under development. Access a report on the project pilot here.
