As Director of Creative Services at RFL, Amy specializes in graphic design, web development, interactive media design, and video production. Her passion in promoting the importance of fine arts education for all K-12 students led her to work as a project manager for one of RFL’s most longstanding clients, the Center for Educator Development in Fine Arts (CEDFA). As part of the CEDFA planning team since she joined RFL in 2000, Amy has assisted with 24 annual statewide summits, attended by thousands of fine arts educators over the years. Amy also has led curriculum writing teams for both visual arts and dance, defining requirements and managed software development projects for the Texas Center for District and School Support. Amy served as the lead developer and programmer for RFL’s Scaffolded Solutions online mentoring application. She has presented at state-level conferences for CEDFA, the Texas Art Education Association, the Texas Dance Education Association, and has presented as a panelist at SXSWedu. She has collaborated on articles promoting client projects in Trends: The Journal of the Texas Art Education Association and Southwest Musician. Her graphic designs have won awards from the National School Public Relations Association.
Prior to joining RFL, Amy served as the direct mail coordinator for Commemorative Brands, Inc., visual arts instructor for the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department, printmaking technician at The Colorado College, and Artist-in-Residence at Park Hill Elementary School in Denver, Colorado.
Amy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art, summa cum laude, from the University of Denver. Additionally, she attained Webmaster Certification in System/Application Programming and Design/Media from Austin Community College, and graduated from the Principles of Marketing Certificate Course through the Continuing Education program at the University of Texas at Austin.
