Linda founded Resources for Learning (RFL) in 1998 to carry out her vision of schools that meet the needs of all students, especially those traditionally underserved by K-12 education. In order to achieve this goal, RFL has provided customized support to improvement efforts at the school, district, regional, state, and national levels. Her responsibilities include long- and short-term planning, leading teams in the execution of plans, providing ongoing management and supervision, and building and maintaining strategic alliances. Linda’s specialties are in teacher development, standards, performance assessment, and professional learning. Additionally, Linda has expertise in team building, leadership development, and group facilitation.

Prior to founding RFL, Linda served as a Senior Project Associate for the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC), Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), in Washington, D.C. She oversaw committees to develop licensing standards, curricula, and performance-based assessments for beginning teachers. Before that, at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Linda managed the development of assessments for over 40,000 entry-level educators annually. She collaborated with teacher preparation entities to improve programs, facilitated the creation of state teacher and administrator standards, and led the development of an innovative teacher evaluation system. Prior to that, Linda served as a special education teacher in the Austin Independent School District and at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Linda has a Master of Education in special education and a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Texas at Austin.
