Alison Reis-Khanna is the managing director of business development for RFL, where she leads business development efforts to drive sustainable growth for the organization and maximize impact for our clients and partners. With 20 years of experience in fundraising, project management, and strategic partnerships, Alison specializes in securing funding, fostering collaborations, and implementing strategic initiatives that strengthen the cooperative’s mission. Alison is committed to leveraging cooperative principles to create innovative, solution-driven opportunities that drive long-term success. Prior to joining RFL in 2021, Alison worked with both small and large organizations in Austin, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Grenada, focusing on youth development and building capacity in community-based organizations. Alison worked at the Texas Education Agency, supporting the 21st Century Community Learning Centers and Communities In Schools programs. She began her career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa, working to connect schools and community organizations, including serving as a partner in starting a community school to serve students needing support to pass their Matriculation exams.

Alison earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Denison University, a master’s degree from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management in sustainable international development from Brandeis University, and a master’s degree in African Studies from Ohio University, where she was a FLAS Fellow.
