Since joining Resources for Learning (RFL) in 2021, Keyana has assisted in educator training and presentation development, professional learning design, curriculum development, project planning and execution, and survey development and analysis. She frequently participates in evaluation of state and local projects, including interviews/focus groups discussions, data collection, and general project research.

Prior to working with RFL, Keyana was a sixth grade English language arts. Using data-driven research, a key feature of her instruction was feedback to both the students and their families. In her role as educator, Keyana successfully demonstrated skills such as scheduling, organizing, and progress tracking. She also developed curriculum and designed and provided internal professional development opportunities for colleagues. 

Keyana earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Science in political science from East Tennessee State University. Additionally, Keyana earned her Master of Education in instructional practice from Lipscomb University. Her master’s research focused on reciprocal teaching methods in the secondary classroom to enhance reading comprehension and literacy skills.
