Lynn is a seasoned Career and Technical Education (CTE) Specialist recognized for her expertise in program implementation, curriculum design, STEM education, and project-based learning. Having joined Resources for Learning (RFL) in August 2023, she applies her extensive knowledge in the planning, research, design, development, and evaluation of professional learning initiatives. Lynn excels in crafting innovative strategies that resonate with the principles of adult learning, ensuring impactful outcomes.
Prior to joining RFL, Lynn held the role of Administrative and Educational Consultant specializing in Career and Technical Education (CTE) at the Educator Service Center, Region 20. In this capacity, she offered comprehensive support to 97 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) spanning 19 counties in Texas. Lynn provided invaluable coaching, program oversight, professional development, and technical assistance to these LEAs. Moreover, she collaborated closely with Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), workforce entities, industries, and local chambers of commerce to establish seamless pathways for students transitioning from secondary education to postsecondary and industry careers. This collaborative effort aimed to create avenues for high-skill, high-wage, in-demand occupations for students.
Before her tenure at the Education Service Center, Lynn spearheaded the establishment of the first Nursing P-TECH in San Antonio, Texas. Serving as the P-TECH and Medical Magnet Coordinator at Fox Technical High School within the San Antonio Independent School District, she played a pivotal role in implementing this innovative program.
Lynn holds a bachelor's degree in occupational education and a master's degree in education with a focus on educational leadership, both from Wayland Baptist University. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral degree in organizational leadership at Northcentral University. Furthermore, Lynn possesses a Texas Teacher Certification in Technology Applications and is a Certified Master Trainer accredited by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER). With a robust background in educational leadership and curriculum development, Lynn's contributions to professional learning and program assessment are shaping the future of vocational education.
